At Splash! we are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children, young people and their families. Lively, enthusiastic and great fun, we aim to create a big SPLASH! in the schools and rural communities in which we work.

Splash! is a Christian charity working with children, families and young people within schools and at the heart of local communities in rural West Sussex. Our full and part-time staff and volunteers are drawn from a number of different churches across the area West Sussex. Splash! believes in the value of children and young people and investing in their future and we have careful policies for their welfare and protection.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a team of passionate, skilled and enthusiastic children’s workers from different churches. As well as meeting new people, you’ll develop new skills and come away with a bagful of ideas to enrich the children’s work in your own churches or children’s clubs. Holiday club is definitely hard work but an incredibly rewarding experience for everyone who is involved – and a real opportunity to bless local children and families.

We do have a small number of spaces reserved for referrals for children who might particularly benefit from having the opportunity to attend. Typically these referrals would be made either by a school, the local Children’s and Family Centre or Family Support Worker. Please contact the Splash office for more details (01903 740044)

Join Crocodile “Ed” Dundee and the Splash team as they go “Walkabout Down Under” in the Australian outback at this year’s Splash summer holiday club at St Mary’s CE Primary School in Pulborough.

Walkabout Holiday Club morning will  be an action packed, bible based programme with games, quizzes, sports, team challenges, arts and crafts, drama and music—all based on the theme of understanding more about God’s “upside down” kingdom.  The afternoon will be a mix of sports, games and activities including arts, crafts and cookery.

Places are limited and must be pre-booked. Previous experience shows that places tend to go very quickly, so please return your booking form to the Splash office as soon as possible. You can download a booking form by clicking here

“My name is Ray Driscoll and I’m delighted to be joining the Splash! team.  I’ve been in full time youth ministry for 8 years, primarily working for Baptist Churches, latterly Brighton Road Baptist Church in Horsham, as a Children’s and Youth Worker. Before this I served at Frimley Baptist Church and was also involved in a Christian punk band, called Cephas, who reached out to the local alternative music community.

I’m 31 years old and I am a husband to Nicky and a Daddy to 5 year old Charlie. We enjoy playing sport together, watching films and going camping whenever we can. I play for our church football team and love to watch and play most kinds of sport. I am passionate about music and I am a lapsed drummer. I enjoy ready true stories of the Second World War and I am also addicted to my IPOD! I attend Brighton Road Baptist Church with my family where I continue to volunteer are BRBC’s youth club. I am also a director of ‘Horsham Matters’, the charitable company of Horsham Churches Together.

I’ve always had a passion to see the church reach out and serve the poor and marginalised in new and dynamic ways. I am consistently drawn to young people on the fringes; be they on the fringes of church, the educational system or society at large. I enjoy the challenge of engaging with hard to reach young people and have a great desire to see the church present in the places where Jesus would have been.
